Legends of Slots

Legends of Slots sounds like one thing and turns out to be another. It's a casual puzzle-adventure where you spin rows of symbols to trigger chain reactions, then use those chains to clear objectives across a map of little themed islands. The core loop is simple to grasp but harder to master than it first looks.

What won me over was the combo timing. Each spin lines up symbols that feed into an energy meter, and spending that energy at the right moment opens shortcuts through later levels. There's a genuine push-and-pull between spending now or saving for a bigger payoff, and the game never explains it too much, which I appreciated.

Controls are a single tap and the occasional swipe, so it plays fine one-handed on the bus. Sessions are short by design, around three to five minutes, and it respects that. I never felt nagged to come back, which is rarer than it should be in this corner of the store.
